Catalyst IT, based in York, recently hosted a Halloween Ball to raise much needed funds for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Martin House looks after children with a vast range of complex needs, and provides support for the entire family. Its specialised and experienced staff care for the children and young people who stay at the hospice, and where appropriate, at home.
The Halloween Ball held at York Racecourse was very well attended and the evening began with a thriller dance display by Performing Arts students from York College. Guests then enjoyed dinner followed by dancing to a live band.
Fundraising was achieved through a silent auction and a raffle for gifts and vouchers, kindly donated by clients and other local businesses.
Commenting on the event, John Haigh, Corporate Fundraiser at Martin House Children’s Hospice said, “It was just fabulous to be invited to speak at the Halloween Ball, and to remind people of the more than 550 local children, young people and families who are cared for and supported by Martin House each year.
And then to be able to receive a donation of more than £6,000- through the hard work of the Catalyst IT team, and the generosity of their dinner guests – that will mean just so much to our ability to continue to support our families in our 30th anniversary year.”
Mark Godliman, Managing Director at Catalyst IT Solutions said, “This is our third annual charity event and we would like to thank our clients, friends and families for supporting the evening. Everybody at Catalyst believes that it is vital to support worthwhile local initiatives such as Martin House, enabling them to continue their excellent work."
